Inspired by the classic lines of the 1920s velodrome racing cycle, this bike - the Brooklands Arrow - was built from parts during spring 2009. Although originally intended as a single-speed machine, the finished bike features a Sturmey Archer 3-speed hub which gives greater flexibility and rideability.
For comfort there's a Brooks B17 Narrow racing saddle and a set of Brooks leather hand grips. Over time these pieces will mold to fit the individual rider. The wheels are chromed; brakes are Weinmann Alloys, pedals are Sylvan Quill, and tyres are Schwalbe Delta Cruiser 26".
This is the story of how the bike was built, from initial inspiration through to finished road bike, a unique head-turner that truly stands out from the crowd.
