The Finished Bike

The first ride revealed a few adjustments to be necessary - seat height, handlebars etc.  But once tweaked, the bike proved to be a comfortable ride.  The Sturmey Archer 3-speed hub works perfectly (I was half-expecting it to be a problem) and was also surprisingly easy to set-up.

Most impressive is the sheer speed of this bike though.  I wasn't building it specifically with speed in mind as it's essentially a bike for posing around on rather than actually racing.  BUT, once you get it up to speed it just seems to run away with you and although I haven't actually measured it I'm sure it's as fast as my more modern racers.
